SECOND Level 1 Senior Coach Accreditation Course 2012
Posted on 06/03/2012
The 2012 season will see a continued focus on coaching accreditations, coach education and coach development alongside the talent pathway of the 14’s, 15’s and 16’s development squads. The 2012 “Coach Education Program” will allow all coaches to further educate themselves on general principles of coaching and coaching techniques as well as further their knowledge in age specific seminars (Auskick, Junior and Youth/ Senior).
In 2012, the Senior Coach Accreditation will move away from the Youth Accreditation and stand alone to cover all Senior Coaching issue in depth. This will cover game environment, effective coaching, coaching senior players, effective training sessions, preparing senior players, skill drills and injury management in a full day course format.
The first course was held on Saturday 25th February at East Fremantle Football Club and saw 10 local senior coaches go through the coach education program.
Due to demand a second course has been scheduled on Sunday, April 1st at Brownes Stadium, Lathlain.
Registration for the course can be completed online, by visiting: http://forms.wafootball.com.au/view.php?id=208
We would like to remind all clubs that it is a requirement that all coaches have obtained a level 1 coaching accreditation to coach in the WAAFL.
Further education sessions will be available to all coaches throughout the year following completion of all Coach Accreditation Courses.
