MEMBERS UPDATE

The West Perth Football Club is delighted with the positive response from club members regarding the new reserved seating initiative at Arena Joondalup this year. In response to requests from patrons, the club is allowing members to reserve a specific seat in the Whinnen/Dempsey Grandstand for the duration of the 2012 season. WPFC CEO Gerry O’Dea said “for a small charge, members can be secure in the knowledge that they will have their special seat for the season reserved. We are trying hard to be responsive to member’s suggestions, and this is one that has been popular.”

O’Dea was also delighted to announce that Falcons financial members will receive cheaper drinks in the members bar in the Premier Suite this season. “We have negotiated a separate member’s price list this season with cheaper drinks. You must be a current financial member and have your membership card on display” O’Dea said. “No card, no discount.”

Members will also see a number of improvements at the ground this season thanks to a $200k State Government grant for capital expenditure. “We were delighted to secure this funding and have so far purchased new goalposts, a new time-clock, new signage and VIP boxes as well as repairs to fencing, seating and lighting. Topped off with our new gym/auditorium facility and the club is ticking along beautifully!”

O’Dea was also pleased with the initial membership renewals, but warned Falcons supporters not to be complacent. “Membership is the life-blood of the club, and we encourage everyone to renew their 2012 memberships as soon as possible, and make sure they let other Falcons supporters know to get on board. Our current playing group is in great condition, so get down to Arena and see the boys in action as we strive for the Premiership.”
